Tire maker’s display will spotlight a galaxy of products

SANTA ANA, CA – (Sept. 25, 2017) – A cavalcade of off-road activities, including a new alliance and tires, will highlight Yokohama Tire’s display at the upcoming Off-Road Expo, Sept. 30-Oct. 1, at the Fairplex in Pomona, CA.
“The Yokohama off-road universe features everything from Baja racing to rock-crawling to mud bogging to trail riding,” said Fardad Niknam, Yokohama Tire director of segment development, “and it all revolves around our extra-tough GEOLANDAR® tire line, including the GEOLANDAR M/T G003™ mud-terrain tire.”
Niknam said Off-Road Expo attendees can stop by Yokohama’s booth (#504-OS) and see:
• A preview of a coming attraction: The U.S. debut of Yokohama’s latest max-traction off-road tire, slated for release in 2018.
• New partnership: Yokohama’s latest off-road partner – the National Off-Road Racing Association (NORRA) – will be highlighted at the show. Yokohama is the title sponsor of the Yokohama NORRA Mexican 1000 rally.
• Off-road rides: Yokohama will feature some cool vehicles, including a custom-built, 2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Crew Cab 4x4 (with GEOLANDAR M/T G003 tires) that’s the grand prize in the Yokohama Nitro Circus “Get Trucked Up Giveaway.” Attendees can enter to win at the booth or can go to https://www.yokohamatire.com/truckedup to enter. Extra entries can be earned by liking Yokohama Tire’s Facebook page and by sharing on Facebook.
Also on display will be a 1987 Toyota race truck (NORRA vintage class) on M/T G003 tires, an Aero Continental Expedition vehicle and a highly modified 2011 Jeep Wrangler.
• Celebrity signings: Nitro Circus stars like skateboarder Beaver Fleming, BMX/Moto rider James Foster and FMX competitor Blake “Bilko” Williams will be on hand signing autographs on Sun., Oct. 1 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
“We’ll also have a hospitality area at our cool, retro-style booth with a cell phone charging station,” said Niknam, so everyone’s welcome to stop by, relax and see all of Yokohama’s off-road offerings.”
