Transportation for its Role in the Record-breaking ‘Run on Less’ Fuel-Efficiency Event

SANTA ANA, CA – (Sept. 27, 2017) – Yokohama Tire Corporation congratulates Ploger Transportation LLC for its role in the recent Run on Less fuel-economy road show. Ploger’s 2016 Volvo VNM truck (in a 6X2 configuration), featured several component suppliers, including Yokohama.
Seven U.S. truck fleets embarked on the three-week, cross-country event aimed at showcasing advancements in fuel efficiency and freight efficiency. The goal was to prove that 10 mpg is possible using efficiency technologies that are available on the market today. Seventeen days 17 and 50,000 miles later, the seven drivers managed to average a record-breaking 10.1 mpg overall. Ploger finished with a 10.5 MPG average.
